As part of my studies in Edinburgh I have been fortunate to gain a place at Purchase College, New York on exchange. So with a lot of my work my environment really impacts on my work and New York from the word go has given my eyes enough inspiration. Unlike in Edinburgh I am able to mis my choice of electives and focus here at Purchase so whilst learning some new skills which will help my contemporary practice I am also able to learn some skills which I have been itching to do so that will further my illustration. I am currently getting a chance to do woodcut and lithography which I am already seeing potential for future work.

Here is my submission to the Onboard Snowboard Magazine and Dragon Goggles Competition..

I went with hang ten theme with this one maybe its the subconscious side of me thinking about the upcoming winter season in New Zealand and other friends talking about surfing missions. Well I guess I tried to join them together.

The last few weeks have been ultra busy, busy in a good way.. The collaboration with Leanne Bridgewater is in the final stages and it is looking good.

Its been a while since I have been upto much with the site.. However things are about to change.... My artwork has been taking shape with my contemporary work being part of a couple of recent exhibitions.. Now though its time to dust of the biros and put Same Old Caviar back into gear...

Currently working with Leanne Bridgewater who has written a fantastical/surreal story for which I am supplying some illustrations... This piece will be published in an up coming issue of Trisickle Magazine .

So I will keep you posted with images and also a heads up with when it is out in the shops...

Other than that I am working on two self directed projects which will soon be ready and there should be some work up for sale as I know some of you have been asking and I kinda lazy on the business side... Until then keep on keeping on...

Three day project on that place that is Birmingham

This week I have started work on my new project. I am basing this new work on Birmingham one end of the train line my village is on. The other end is London probably the way I would normally travel when boarding a train. So its been good to walk the streets in Brum looking to see what makes it tick. Day three tommorrow will see what that brings. The photos here are some pieces that kept me entertained whilst having a nosy.. Also checked out Studio 4 Gallery at the Custard Factory.
